Teacher – Humanities and Social Sciences
Permanent, full-time position commencing Term 1, ****.
This role is based at Narrogin Senior High School (NSHS) in Western Australia.
Overview of the Role
The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) lessons, support a high-achieving school culture, and foster inclusive, respectful learning environments.
The role requires collaboration with colleagues, differentiation of curriculum to meet diverse student needs, and flexibility to teach across multiple HASS areas.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement high-quality HASS lessons that demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and effective teaching practices.
Build positive, respectful relationships with students to support their academic and personal development.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners and empower students to reach their full potential.
Collaborate with staff and the school community to enhance student outcomes.
Provide support across multiple HASS learning areas, as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration with the Department of Education.
Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of appointment.
Completed a WA Working With Children Check and a National Criminal History Check.
Strong professional knowledge, practice and engagement aligned with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
