Exciting opportunity to join Epworth HealthCare's Office for Research as a Research Support Officer, where you will play a key role in enabling safe, ethical and high‐quality clinical research. Working closely with researchers, clinicians and internal stakeholders, you will be responsible for providing high‐quality advisory and coordination support across the research life cycle, including research planning, ethics and governance submissions, and post‐approval research activities. You will be part of the Office for Research team and report to the Group Manager Research Operations. This full‐time, 12‐month fixed‐term role is ideal for a research professional who is service‐focused, detail‐oriented and motivated to contribute to impactful research that truly puts Every Patient Matters at the centre of what we do.

You will make an impact by:

* Enabling high‐quality, compliant research by providing expert advice and coordination across research planning, ethics and governance approvals
* Supporting successful research delivery through effective post‐approval coordination, reporting and ongoing researcher support
* Strengthening Epworth's research capability by identifying funding opportunities and supporting well‐planned, feasible research proposals
* Driving continuous improvement by contributing to process optimisation, templates and systems that enhance research efficiency and compliance

Qualifications

To be successful in this role... You will be a collaborative and service‐focused research professional who enjoys working closely with researchers, clinicians and internal stakeholders. You bring strong judgement, attention to detail and the confidence to provide clear, practical advice in a complex regulatory environment. Highly organised and adaptable, you thrive in a fast‐paced setting and take pride in enabling others to succeed while upholding the highest standards of research quality, safety and compliance.

* Minimum 2 years' experience in clinical research coordination or research support, including ethics and/or governance submissions
* Strong knowledge of research ethics and governance frameworks, including NHMRC National Statement
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear guidance
* A relevant degree in Science, Nursing, Pharmacy or a related discipline, with GCP certification or willingness to obtain
