The Role
Reporting to the Coordinator Building
Surveyor and based in Windsor NSW, this position provides an efficient and
effective service in relation to the assessment of applications for Swimming
Pool Compliance Certificates. The position is responsible to investigate complaints
related to swimming pools and spas, and undertakes appropriate regulatory
action as required.
About You
You possess strong written and verbal communication skills, sound
judgement, and the ability to work independently. You bring well-developed
report writing, negotiation, mediation, and problem-solving skills, along with
the capacity to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in high-volume
environments. You are computer proficient and demonstrate a strong commitment
to quality customer service and effective stakeholder engagement.
Essential Criteria
* Qualifications under the Buildings Professional Board Accreditation Scheme for E1 level
* Relevant experience in swimming pool barrier compliance inspections and issuing of relevant certificates
* Comprehensive knowledge of the Swimming Pools Act 1992 and Regulation as well as associated Australian Standards
* Knowledge and experience in development assessment, compliance and/or certification work
* Knowledge of processes involved in Court Proceedings in the Land and Environment Court and prosecution proceedings in Local Court
* The right to live and work in Australia
* Class C Drivers Licence
* Working with Children Check (WWCC)
* Successful applicants will be required to undergo background (police) checks and medical declaration
