Remuneration: MP Year 1 $377,207 – Year 3 $401,095 per annum; Rural Generalist Year 1 $382,342 – Year 5 $432,570 per annum. (Salary inclusive of base salary under Arrangement A, 12% superannuation, professional development allowance $34,696). Other allowances not included: penalty rates, on‐call and recall rates.
Step into a rewarding and dynamic role as a Senior Medical Practitioner with WA Country Health Service (WACHS) – South West Inland, where you'll make a meaningful impact across the inland communities of Harvey, Collie, Donnybrook, Bridgetown, Manjimup (Warren) and Nannup. This role provides supervision, support, and training to junior doctors and clinical staff, contributing to a strong culture of continuous learning.
You will be well supported by the clinical teams in the Regional Resource Centre at Bunbury and statewide services (transport, telehealth, mental health, maternity and obstetric telehealth). With a wide scope of practice—including emergency and acute presentations, general ward management, aged care, rehabilitation, and palliative care—you'll have professional variety and the chance to connect with the communities you serve.
Qualifications and Experience
* Eligible for General and/or Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Fellowship with either the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and/or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM), or working towards the same.
* Experience in Emergency Medicine or urgent care setting, or willingness to upskill.
* Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with strengths in negotiation and conflict resolution.
* Current C or C‐A class driver's licence as travelling is required.
