You'll join Consumer and UNITE Tech, Digital Consumer Finance Tech as a Program Manager, leading complex technology programs that support how our customers access and use consumer finance products. Based in Sydney Warrane, Gadigal Country, this is a full time hybrid role with three days a week in the office.
Major accountabilities
* Lead strong program and project governance so roles, decisions and escalation paths are clear and delivery stays on track.
* Define and manage scope by translating business needs into clear outcomes, gaining stakeholder agreement, and managing change impacts across time, cost, quality and risk.
* Deliver programs and projects end to end, meeting agreed outcomes while providing clear updates on progress, risks, issues and financials, and capturing learnings for future delivery.
* Own estimation and financial management, partnering with business and technology teams to develop cost estimates, manage budgets, track scope change impacts and oversee vendor spend.
* Proactively manage risks and issues, escalating where needed and working with stakeholders to resolve delivery challenges early.
* Build strong stakeholder relationships by engaging, influencing and keeping business and service teams committed through delivery and transition.
* Apply enterprise delivery frameworks and ensure work meets best practice, regulatory and compliance requirements.
* Manage partners and vendors to deliver quality outcomes, value for money and seamless integration across delivery streams.
* Lead and develop people by securing the right capability, setting clear accountabilities, coaching team members and supporting ongoing learning and mandatory training.
What do I need?
* Proven experience leading large, complex programs with multiple concurrent projects
* A background in technology or digital delivery within complex organisations
* Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, work through project interdependencies and managing competing priorities across a program
* Excellent governance, financial management and executive reporting capability
* Confidence operating at senior levels and influencing across diverse stakeholder groups
* Financial services experience highly desirable
* Experience line managing, mentoring or leading multiple Project Managers
* Ability to uplift delivery maturity through coaching, feedback and capability development
* A leadership style that builds accountability, trust and high performance
* Comfortable managing delivery through others rather than directly owning every workstream

* A strong point of view on modern delivery practices and how to apply them pragmatically
* Ability to design and embed new ways of working that suit team context and complexity
