Summary:
As the Warehouse Manager, you will be the operational leader responsible for overseeing all receiving, storage, value-added servicing, and dispatch operations for our portfolio of high-end, luxury goods. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, impeccable quality control, and the implementation of robust security and safety protocols to safeguard valuable inventory. You will ensure operational efficiency, maintain the highest standards of customer satisfaction, and lead a team committed to excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
* Operational Excellence: Strategically manage the warehouse to ensure peak efficiency in all receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities, upholding the exceptional quality and care that luxury goods demand.
* Inventory and Quality Control: Achieve and maintain impeccable inventory accuracy through rigorous cycle counts, regular audits, and reconciliation with our in-house Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Implement stringent quality assurance procedures to prevent damage, shrinkage, and errors in order fulfillment.
* Security and Compliance: Establish and enforce comprehensive security procedures and protocols for high-value items to prevent loss or theft. Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and security regulations and legislation.
* Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate the warehouse team, fostering a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement. Plan work rotas and assign tasks to maximise efficiency and meet performance goals.
* Logistics Coordination: Liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and transport partners to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, optimise routing, and ensure timely and secure delivery of products.
* Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, optimise warehouse layout, and introduce best practices, utilising data and KPIs for decision-making.
* Reporting and Administration: Prepare and manage budgets, maintain statistical and financial records, and produce regular reports on warehouse performance and inventory status for senior management.
* Equipment Maintenance: Oversee regular inspection and maintenance of all warehouse equipment, including forklifts and IT systems, to ensure proper functioning and safety.
Qualifications:
* A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is highly regarded.
* Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
* Experience with advanced security systems and protocols for high-value inventory.
