Job Description:
The Communication Team is responsible for delivering communication solutions to promote departmental initiatives and priorities. They connect Queenslanders to programs and effectively reach external customers and stakeholders through targeted messaging and channels.
Key Responsibilities
* Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate integrated communication and engagement strategies, including events, to support the achievement of the department's strategic objectives in children, youth justice, and multicultural affairs.
* Write, edit, and coordinate the production of digital and print communication materials, such as publications, online content, enewsletters, videos, presentations, advertising, and feature stories, to support departmental campaigns and initiatives.
* Apply contemporary communication and engagement tools and techniques, including social media, to assist in reaching the department's diverse audiences and stakeholders.
* Provide strategic advice on communication issues and projects to internal stakeholders.
* Maintain positive working relationships with clients and staff at all levels, including senior officers.
