Bus Driver – Out of School Hours Care (OOSH)

What you’ll be doing:
* Safely transporting children between schools, Wagga PCYC Club, and excursions
* Ensuring the bus is clean, safe, and roadworthy
* Completing daily vehicle safety checks and transport logs
* Staying calm and professional in unexpected situations
Essential Criteria:
* Valid NSW Light Rigid (LR) Driver’s Licence – manual 21-seater bus
* Bus driver Authority (BDA) – it is a mandatory state issued accreditation from Transport NSW to ensure that a driver is a fit and proper person to transport passengers
* Valid Paid NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Recent National Police Check (within 6 months)
* Strong understanding of road safety
* A commitment to child safe practices
* Excellent time management and communication skills
* Reliable and punctual
Desirable Criteria:
* Previous experience driving a bus within the children services sector
* Knowledge of child protection responsibilities
* First Aid qualification

This is a Child-Related position under NSW Child Protection laws. You must provide a valid Working with Children Check number.
