Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Ui/Ux Designer to collaborate with our dynamic team, creating innovative products that cater to the Support at Home program.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing human-centred design strategies and collaborating with teams to bring them to life. They will transform customer insights into comprehensive designs, including concepts, personas, user journeys, storyboards, system maps, user flows, wireframes, visual design comps, clickable-prototypes, and prototypes.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the design process and design thinking principles. They will be experienced in designing digital products, encompassing web/desktop to mobile applications. Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills are also essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing human-centred design strategies and collaborating with teams to bring them to life.
* Transforming customer insights into comprehensive designs.
* Creating low to high-fidelity wireframes and prototypes.
* Presenting and defending design decisions with senior leaders.
* Conducting discovery processes, such as user interviews, stakeholder mapping, observational studies, journey mapping, empathy interviews/maps, persona creation, contextual inquiries, speculative futures, process mapping, literature review, market analysis, and novel product review.
* Facilitating showcases and discussions to convey discovery findings, concepts, details, and design rationale verbally and visually.
* Leveraging design expertise to progress the UI/UX of the product.
* Ensuring digital product guidelines adhere to WCAG and accessibility requirements for end-users.
* Crafting digital design specifications to effectively communicate the program to software developers.
* Providing project teams with valuable insights into user behaviour, expectations, and perceptions of existing and new products.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualification in Interaction Design, User Experience Design, or a related field with a focus on human-computer interaction.
* Strong knowledge of the design process and design thinking principles.
* Experience designing digital products, encompassing web/desktop to mobile applications.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
* Aptitude for problem-solving and technical activities.
* A strong portfolio showcasing interaction and visual design work.
* Exceptional communication skills – verbal and written – to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
* Proficiency in designing Desktop, Web, and Mobile apps, wireframes, and prototypes using tools like Adobe XD, Adobe InDesign CC, Axure RP Professional, Figma, etc.
* Demonstrated capability in designing end-to-end UX, from discovery to polished designs.
* Ability to work independently within a small team with broad responsibilities.
* Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and other relevant tools.
* Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and achieve results within tight timeframes.
