JS Careers is currently assisting a for-purpose investment management firm in Darwin to source an experienced company secretarial and governance professional that is keen to join a high performing team. This role provides key advisory support to senior management, boards and committees, and central services groups on company secretarial practice, corporate governance, company law and internal policies.
Duties will entail :
* Manage regular board and committee meetings for key regulated entities;
* Assist in the preparation of Board papers and policies;
* Contribute to global policy, process improvements, board practices and innovation projects;
* Development and maintenance of policies and procedures
* Development and maintenance of company registers;
* Preparation of Board summaries of potential decisions required;
* Preparing submissions to the Board and relevant committees regarding legal and company law developments.
Suitable candidates must possess :
* Minimum of 4 years' experience professional experience
* Ideally hold a graduate diploma from the Governance Institute of Australia or Chartered Governance Institute;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Ability to build effective working relationships;
* Strong attention to detail, organisational and prioritisation skills;
* Be comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively with a focus on team goals and objectives.
