About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail‐oriented Accounts Receivable Officer to manage a large ledger of 2,000+ accounts in a fast‐paced environment. You will be responsible for daily banking, payment allocations, reconciliations, debt collection, dispute resolution, and month‐end support while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate will have proven AR experience, strong Excel skills, and a "Make it Happen" attitude.
Key Responsibilities
* Share a ledger of more than 2000 Accounts – Major and Minor
* Daily banking and processing of all debtor payments.
* Accurate allocation of all direct deposits
* Processing and raising of credit notes and invoices when necessary, including Marketing, fit-out contributions and rebates
* Collection of overdue accounts
* Account Reconciliations
* Dispute resolution
* Help manage Accounts Receivable email account and provide timely responses to account enquiries
* Journal entries and coding
* Processing new trade credit account applications (PPSR/Equifax)
* Assist with month end responsibilities
* Build solid working relationships with your team as well as with internal and external stakeholders
Key Qualifications
* Demonstrated and previous experience as an Accounts Receivable Officer maintaining a large ledger
* Ability to thrive in a high volume and fast paced environment
* Success in reducing outstanding debts
* Intermediate/Advanced EXCEL skills
* Ability multi-task and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
* High attention to detail, excellent time management skills and a proactive approach to customers
* AP21 experience desirable but not essential
