As part of our continued growth, we’re seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our team and help drive financial excellence across the organisation. This role can be based in any of our offices: Sydney, Newcastle, or Shoal Bay.
Role Overview
The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role involves close collaboration with the CFO and coordination with our outsourced finance operation to maintain robust financial controls and deliver timely insights.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate financial reporting
Liaise with outsourced finance teams to manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and performance reports
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across business units
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial risks
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
Assist the CFO in strategic planning, investment analysis, and board reporting
Implement and maintain financial systems and process improvements
Provide financial insights to operational teams to optimise profitability
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA or CA preferred)
5+ years of experience in financial management, ideally within hospitality or service industries
Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and compliance
Experience working with outsourced finance providers or shared services
Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, NetSuite) and Excel
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Experience in Hospitality would be advantageous
