Purpose As the Assistant Financial Controller, you will be an essential member of the Accor Shared Services team, playing a key role in accounting, reporting and business partnering for a cluster of properties within the Accor Apartments & Realty portfolio. In addition, the role will assist the Finance Manager in the support and development of the finance team. This position is ideal for a highly competent Management Accountant or Assistant Financial Controller that is seeking to work in an exciting and dynamic environment whilst advancing their career. This role can be based in either South Australia or Victoria.
Responsibilities
* Business partner with property General Managers and Department Leads to provide financial guidance
* Review internal controls to ensure compliance
* Take accountability for the preparation and review of property monthly P&Ls, providing variance analysis and insights to the Finance Manager and Property Operations
* Prepare and communicate monthly/annual forecasts and budgets
* Prepare, review and communicate balance sheets
* Prepare, review and communicate monthly reports and statutory obligations meeting required lodgement dates
* Prepare, review and communicate weekly cashflow reports
* Coordinate and manage Interim and End of year audits
* Support Finance Manager in daily/annual requirements where needed
Skills And Experience
* A minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting and/or Finance or Commerce
* CA or CPA qualifications is a plus
* Proven track record and strong understanding of management accounting
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and oral communication skills across a wide-range of stakeholders
* Ability to work under pressure within tight time frames
* A can do attitude
