Job Title: Senior Investigator
We are seeking a skilled Senior Investigator to contribute to our compliance and enforcement work in the Consumer and Fair Trading Division. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference in consumer protection and regulatory affairs.
As a Senior Investigator, you will apply your technical and specialist skills to complex problems, research and investigate potential breaches of the law, regulations and codes, and work with internal and external stakeholders to implement our compliance and enforcement priorities.
You will be part of a high-performing team that works closely with senior leaders and decision makers to deliver outcomes and promote behavioural change. If you have a demonstrated ability to think strategically, research, investigate and analyse complex issues, this could be the perfect role for you.
In this position, you will also contribute to improving outcomes for Australian consumers and small businesses. You will have the opportunity to work on some of the biggest issues facing consumers and businesses, and have opportunities to pursue new and exciting pathways.
To succeed in this role, you will need a demonstrated ability to effectively engage and work collaboratively with other people, including the ability to influence/persuade/inform/lead people. Tertiary qualifications in law, economics, or related fields and/or experience undertaking/leading complex investigations are desirable but not essential.
