The role of Human Resource Officer provides an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, enthusiastic and eager to develop their HR experience. You'll be involved in a wide range of tasks including preparing HR documents, maintaining records, recruitment and onboarding, coordinating compliance checks and supporting various HR initiatives. If you have a keen eye for detail, learn quickly and bring a can-do attitude you'll enjoy the chance to grow your HR career in a positive and collaborative workplace.
This position is based in Darwin but will require travel to Wadeye as required.
About You
* Cert IV in Human Resources and/or relevant experience in HR and administration desirable
* Knowledge of awards, Enterprise Agreements & Fair Work legislation
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office apps including Word, Excel, TEAMS & SharePoint
* Experience with Employment Hero HR & Payroll desirable
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and records
* High level customer service skills with a focus on providing high quality HR support to managers and staff
* Strong organisational skills and action oriented
* Ability to use initiative and work with minimal supervision
* Experience and understanding of working respectfully with culturally and linguistically diverse clients in remote Indigenous communities
Essential Licences / Clearances
* National Police check
* Current NT Ochre Card (working with children check) (or willingness to obtain)
* NLC Work permit (with assistance)
