Are you ready to make an impact that matters in the Australian health and human services sector?

Do you want to influence and redefine the standards of excellence in health service planning and the quality of health and social infrastructure?

Have you got what it takes to influence decisions on State-shaping projects and life-changing services, then help to deliver them for our community?

Then a role in our Perth based Infrastructure and Industrials (I&I) team could be for you

What will your typical day look like?

You will work on some of the largest and most significant health and human services strategy and infrastructure projects in Western Australia. Expect to work closely as a trusted advisor with Government Departments, private and community providers as you provide valuable advice and services that help to address some of the most complex problems and biggest opportunities facing the healthcare landscape in Western Australia.

Our clients will depend on you and your team to help address 'front-page' and 'big-ticket' issues related to healthcare standards, clinical planning and infrastructure. Your role will involve commercial advisory services as well as strategy, planning and project management.

In addition to providing valued service to clients, you will also make a meaningful impact on the economy, the environment, and the quality of lives for West Australians. You will be required to consider these things, and the public risks, costs, benefits, and opportunities associated with everything you do.

Your work could cover the whole of the project lifecycle to inform major decisions in healthcare and implement complex projects from policy development and business cases, through to procurement, implementation, and delivery.

You might find yourself:

Collaborating and supporting Government and its stakeholders make investment decisions in the State's health and social infrastructure portfolios

Using data and information to derive critical insights – including consumer-level data, financial and economic information and demand forecasts

Undertaking strategic analysis to consider where the next health service should go and determining the required service delivery model based on population health data, changes to technology and innovative service solutions, and capacity and demand modelling

Analysing health and social infrastructure portfolio performance and future requirements using the latest tools and technologies

Working with a diverse team of architects, engineers, and people across multiple areas of government and the private sector, to design hospitals and health services to meet the needs of the target population. This could include working closely with clinicians, consumers and hospital stakeholders to develop future service models based on best practice standards and innovation trends, and developing functional briefs and schedules of accommodation to inform the infrastructure that underpins these services

Undertaking commercial and financial analysis, designing commercial frameworks, and developing and delivering procurement strategies to optimise competitive processes.

Leading / supporting the delivery and commissioning of large, complex health infrastructure works.

You will bring a creative mindset and be comfortable working amongst some complexity and uncertainty. In fact, you will thrive in it. This is meaningful work. It can also be complicated. Expect to learn and grow, as well as meeting a lot of new and interesting people in the industry. This job will open doors for you.
