Nurse Specialist Role Overview

As a highly skilled Registered Nurse, you will take on a key leadership role in delivering high-quality patient care. Your expertise will be utilized to assess, plan, and provide individualized nursing care to clients of the Drug and Alcohol Clinical Services.

Your collaborative approach will enable you to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including Registered Nurses, Clinical Nurse Consultants, Medical Officers, and Aboriginal Health Workers.


Key Responsibilities

* Patient Care Delivery: Provide evidence-based individualized nursing care to meet the unique needs of clients.
* Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal outcomes.
* Clinical Resource and Mentorship: Act as a clinical resource and mentor to peers and junior staff, promoting professional growth and development.
* Service Development and Improvement: Contribute to service improvement initiatives, enhancing patient care planning and delivery.

About You

Essential Requirements

* Current Registration: Be currently registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
* Post-Registration Qualifications: Hold post-registration qualifications relevant to the specialty area, with at least 3 years of experience in the field.
* Eligibility to Drive: Be eligible to drive in NSW and willing to travel for work purposes.
