This role is focused on supporting students with diverse needs who require Tier 2 targeted supports or Tier 3 individualised intensive interventions.ResponsibilitiesIn this position you will be responsible for:Providing holistic support to identified students with diverse needs who require Tier 2 targeted supports and conducting complex case management of high behaviour/disengaged students requiring Tier 3 individualised intensive interventions.Coordinating relevant stakeholders to ensure their collaborative contribution to the development of student plans that support student engagement and wellbeing.Collecting, analyzing, and utilizing multiple forms of student data to identify and inform targeted actions for students at risk of disengagement and/or for whom there are behavioural and wellbeing concerns.Developing and implementing personalized support plans for students with diverse needs.Implementing evidence-informed teaching practices that support student engagement and wellbeing.Monitoring and tracking student progress, adjusting support plans as necessary.Participating in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in pastoral care and student support.About youTo be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:Creating a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum.Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve the best educational outcomes for students.A passion to support students' spiritual and moral development.Experience with restorative practices and conflict resolution.Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.Familiarity with social-emotional learning (SEL) frameworks.Proficiency in using data to inform support strategies and interventions.Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.Bachelor's degree in Education, or a related field.Valid teaching certification.Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, with a focus on supporting students with diverse needs.Strong understanding of Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L) and Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, support staff, parents, and other relevant stakeholders.Demonstrated commitment to student engagement and wellbeing.Why choose BCEJoin us and be part of the largest Catholic Diocese in Queensland, nurturing your personal and professional development goals.
