A well-established commercial construction company is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join their delivery team. The business delivers high-quality projects typically ranging from $5M–$40M across the hospitality, education, government, and aged care sectors.
With a solid forward pipeline, this role will see you working closely with a Project Manager across multiple commercial projects in a collaborative and structured environment.
Responsibilities
The Role
You will play a key role in the commercial and contractual management of projects from early works through to completion. This position suits a CA who enjoys working across a variety of commercial builds rather than a single large-scale residential project.
Key Responsibilities
* Contract administration from project award through to final account
* Drafting, reviewing, and administering head contracts and subcontract agreements
* Procurement and subcontractor engagement, including RFTs and trade comparisons
* Assessment and negotiation of variations, progress claims, and final accounts
* Cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting against project budgets
* Managing subcontractor compliance and contract obligations
* Working closely with the Project Manager to achieve programme, cost, and quality outcomes
* Maintaining accurate contract and cost records (Procore or similar systems)
* Assisting with monthly reporting and commercial risk management
* Supporting WHS and quality compliance in line with project requirements
Your Profile
About You
* 2+ years' experience as a Contracts Administrator within the Sydney commercial construction sector
* Experience delivering projects $5M+
* Background across hospitality, education, health, government, or aged care projects highly regarded
* Strong understanding of Australian construction contracts and commercial processes
* Confident communicator able to liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and clients
* Experience using Procore, Jobpac, or similar contract management systems
* Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar
