About The Role
This role delivers complex systems engineering for LAND 4140 BMS capability, operating within a highly integrated and technically diverse environment. It includes work across systems-of-systems, communications networks, and software/data integration, including Beyond-Line-Of-Sight Friendly Force Tracking (BLOS FFT).

Detailed Responsibilities
Systems Engineering Delivery
* Perform complex systems engineering activities across:
o Systems-of-systems environments
o Disparate networking environments
o Radio systems
o Electro-mechanical systems
* Develop engineering plans and designs that integrate across multiple engineering disciplines.
Architecture & Integration
* Work with systems architects and engineering management to develop:
o Engineering artefacts
o System architecture
o Integration specifications
* Support development of BLOS FFT capability including:
o Personal devices
o Software/data integration
o Centralised command and control ecosystems
Engineering Documentation & Planning
* Contribute to capability definition documentation and engineering plans.
* Develop and maintain:
o Engineering work packages
o Integration documentation
o Technical reports and procedures
Risk, Safety & Compliance
* Identify and resolve technical issues and constraints.
* Manage engineering risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
* Ensure safety considerations are incorporated into all engineering activities.
* Exercise engineering authorities and technical regulatory delegations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Support engineering, project management, and commercial teams.
* Engage with stakeholders to deliver agreed project outcomes.
* Ensure compliance with legislative, policy, and regulatory frameworks.
Accountability
* Deliver work within defined:
o Timeframes
o Cost constraints
o Quality requirements
Essential Experience & Skills Required
* Bachelor of Engineering (Washington Accord recognised).
* 8+ years engineering experience.
* 5+ years systems engineering experience.
* Experience with:
o BLOS FFT or similar capabilities
o Defence communications and ICT systems
* Strong understanding of Defence processes and ODCS lifecycle.
* NV1 clearance.
Highly Desirable
* Experience in CASG engineering environments.
* DevSecOps and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
* Experience with:
o Tactical communications systems
o ICT and cyber security integration
o Test and evaluation processes
* Experience with Azure and Linux environments.
