Job Description
We’re looking for a detail‑driven Tax Manager to lead statutory reporting and tax compliance for our Australian operations. This is a hands‑on role with a mix of technical work and cross‑functional collaboration, offering exposure to both local and international reporting standards.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring our financial statements and tax lodgements are accurate, timely, and fully compliant with AASB/IFRS, Australian tax legislation, and US GAAP. You’ll also work closely with our US parent company and play a key role in improving how we manage and report financial data.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements (AASB/IFRS)
- Managing external audits and liaising with auditors and regulators
- Handling tax compliance: Income Tax, BAS, Employment related tax including: FBT, Payroll Tax
- Assist with tax effect accounting and deferred tax calculations
- Advising on restructures, transactions, and cross‑border tax matters
- Maintaining documentation for the ATO’s Justified Trust program
- Monitoring tax legislation changes and ensuring compliance
- Driving improvements in reporting processes and systems
Qualifications
- CA or CPA qualification
- 3–6 years’ experience in tax and statutory reporting (Big 4 or multinational experience is a plus)
- Robust knowledge of Australian tax legislation, AASB/IFRS, and ideally US GAAP
- A sharp eye for detail and the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders
- A proactive mindset and a focus on continuous improvement
