A well‑established Tier‑2 builder with a strong reputation for delivering complex multi‑residential and high‑rise projects is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join their Canberra team. You'll be working on a landmark $250M multi‑residential high‑rise development, supporting a high‑performing commercial and delivery team on one of the region's most significant builds.
Your new role
As a key member of the project team, you will take ownership of the commercial and contractual functions required to support the successful delivery of a major high‑rise project. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, has strong cost‑management capability, and enjoys working on large, complex D&C projects. Key duties will include:
* Manage end‑to‑end contract administration for a major $250M high‑rise project
* Prepare, review, and negotiate subcontractor packages
* Process progress claims, variations, EOTs, and RFI documentation
* Maintain accurate cost reporting, forecasting, and financial tracking
* Work closely with the Project Manager and Site team to support delivery
* Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures
* Assist with procurement strategy and tender evaluations
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience as a Contract Administrator on large‑scale residential or commercial projects
* Experience working on D&C projects, ideally $100M+
* Strong cost‑management and financial reporting skills
* Ideally experienced with CHEOPS or similar construction management software
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capability
* Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction
