Client Services Officer/ Paraplanner – Life Insurance Specialist

This is a permanent opportunity to join a well-established Private Client Advisory and Life Insurance/Risk Specialist business in Richmond. The company offers exceptional flexibility and work-life balance, even allowing for 100% remote work for the ideal candidate. However, if you prefer an office environment, a great workspace is also available.

The team consists of approximately 35 staff who provide tailored insurance solutions and Private Wealth Advice to individuals and families across Australia. The culture is professional, supportive, and relationship-driven, with a strong focus on delivering meaningful outcomes rather than transactional volume.

The opportunity

Working closely with a Life Insurance Advisers, this role will combine paraplanning and high-level administration support. It will suit someone who enjoys being across the detail, takes pride in accuracy and is confident managing both new business and ongoing client service.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Paraplanning and research support
* Obtaining quotations from insurers
* Assisting with Statement of Advice preparation
* Liaising with insurers and managing underwriting requirements
* Following up outstanding medical requirements
* Assisting with applications and policy implementation
* Managing client enquiries via phone and email
* Assisting with policy alterations, renewals and annual reviews
* Supporting premium management and outstanding rollovers
* Assisting with claims and day to day administration
* Providing general support to the broader national team

About you

You will have prior experience in life insurance administration/implementation (essential), but ideally also paraplanning exposure. If you have not previously drafted Statements of Advice but have strong industry exposure and the capacity to learn, training can be provided.

Ideally you will bring:

* Approximately three years' experience in life insurance administration/ paraplanning
* Strong working knowledge of insurer processes and underwriting requirements
* Experience using Xplan and Risk Researcher (preferred)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong time management and the ability to manage competing priorities
* High attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work
* The ability to work autonomously in a remote environment
* Diploma level qualifications in financial planning or life risk (beneficial but not essential)

This role can be based remotely or from any capital city location. Full time is preferred; however part time arrangements will be considered for the right person.
