The role of Health and Safety Manager is critical in driving this cultural shift by delivering proactive coaching, capability-building, and support across operational teams.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering health, safety, and environmental coaching and capability-building to operational teams.
* Supporting risk reduction initiatives, particularly around machinery safety and respirable crystalline silica.
* Conducting thorough incident investigations and developing preventative action plans.
* Helping implement and embed our onboarding framework to target injury reduction in new hires.
* Ensuring alignment with CSR's SH&E management system and legislative requirements.
* Collaborating with line managers, HSRs, and site-based leaders to foster visible safety leadership.
Requirements include:
* Proven experience in high-risk environments (manufacturing, logistics preferred).
* Strong experience with machinery safety, risk assessments, and health & hygiene monitoring.
* Practical investigation skills and a systems-savvy mindset.
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills – from the floor to the leadership team.
* Qualifications in Work Health & Safety (Certificate IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree).
* Cert IV in Training & Assessment and/or Return-to-Work Coordination – highly regarded.
