We are currently seeking an experienced Site Operator to join our Operations team located in Wonthaggi in a 12-month fixed term position.

About the role
Site operators have an essential role in the production of safe drinking water and are responsible for the operational tasks associated with ensuring the safety and quality of drinking water through monitoring and controlling the water treatment process on the desalination plant.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Sampling and laboratory testing on water quality as directed and described in the operations' manual.
* Bulk chemical deliveries
* Monitor and adjust process to ensure water quality complies with all constraints and demands at all phases of the operation.
* Monitor and adjust process to ensure optimum performance of equipment.
* Maintain familiarity with all operational processes of the plant.
* Perform minor calibrations and field adjustments as required.
* Report breakdowns or plant/process abnormalities.
* Undertake permit to work activities including, but not limited to, isolations, verifications, and permit issuing.
* Other operational activities as required
About You:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in water, petrochemical or other automated industry.
* Drivers Licence (C).
* First Aid Level 2.
* Typically, Cert 3 Water Treatment
* Forklift Licence (LF)
* Dangerous Goods trained
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
* Practical and Theoretical knowledge of SCADA Control Systems.
* Experienced in working to a strict set of quality systems.
* Capable of inspection, testing, and adjustment of electric, electronic, mechanical and instrumentation devices associated with the plant.
