Equity Labour Services (ELS) is a Social Enterprise of WISE Employment delivering vegetation control, large-scale mowing/slashing, landscaping, cleaning, traffic control and general maintenance.
About the Role
ELS are currently based in Ulverstone, North-West Tasmania, and are looking to expand South into Hobart
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated Business Development Officer to join the team, based out of Hobart .
This opportunity is for a period of 12 months, in a Full-Time Maximum-Term capacity, with the potential to becoming ongoing.
Duties will include:
* Actively networking across industry, community and client groups to build visibility, presence and awareness of ELS
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region to expand ELS' client base
* Develop proposals and support the preparation of quotes and tender documents in collaboration with senior leadership, and seek opportunities to upsell
* Build and maintain professional relationships with external stakeholders, including local councils
* Monitor competitor activity, market trends and industry best practice to inform business growth opportunities
* Support the scheduling, resourcing and delivery of contracted services
To be considered, you must:
* Have previous experience in Business, Marketing or related discipline
* Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a Business Development or Sales related position
* Have an understanding of the local business market
* Have high-level communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
* Be familiar with CRM software (e.g. HubSpot)
* Hold a full Australian driver's license & own vehicle, with a willingness to travel across Tasmania as required
Be willing to obtain a National Police Check
