The John Flynn Maternity Unit comprises of 3 Birth Suites, 12 inpatient beds and an 8 bed Special Care Nursery to support the needs of our five Obstetricians. We also offer additional pre & postnatal services inclusive of a Maternity Navigator service, Know My Midwife program, Breastfeeding & Lactation Support and Paediatric Early Parenting Program. The Opportunity We are seeking Registered Midwives to support our Obstetrics Ward and Special care nursery at John Flynn Private Hospital. In this role you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering comprehensive, evidence-based midwifery care to our mothers and families across all areas of midwifery, in line with the core values and strategic direction. Acting in a professional manner when dealing with the health care team, patients, their families, and the wider community, you will facilitate and promote patient safety and quality care. Skills and Experience Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife Recent experience working in birthsuite, special care nursery and postnatal care. Knowledge of current legislation and policies relating to Midwifery practice in the workplace Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) A keen interest in postnatal education Remuneration : On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $41.89 - $54.01 superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
