The Logistics Assurance Officer will ensure the successful completion of governance and assurance activities which support the Ranges & Mobile Threat Training Emitter System Product. This includes executing the Materiel Logistics Management Plan and inventory and asset compliance activities. Duties include assisting with the management of schedule, risk, budget, resources and preparation of briefings and submissions.
An APS 5 Logistics Assurance Officer performs logistics work within an integrated workforce. You need to develop and maintain a well-developed understanding of and compliance with relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policy requirements.
As an APS 5 Logistics Assurance Officer you will organise your workflow and make independent decisions relating to your area of responsibility. You will interpret and provide advice within the logistics function based on legislation, policy and procedures. You will also undertake specialist research and analysis conduct reviews and perform procedural and clerical support work to achieve results.
As an APS 5 Logistics Assurance Officer you will coordinate and contribute to the work of a team consistent with a work plan and provide advice and assistance on methods of task completion to team members. You may be a team coach or supervise a team and be required to set work priorities, allocate work, and manage workflows and performance. You are expected to be capable of reviewing and developing the quality of work undertaken by others and identifying opportunities for on-the-job training within a work unit.
As an APS 5 Logistics Assurance Officer you will engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. You will contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and career development.

Within Aerospace Systems Division, AWSPO leads and manages a portfolio of projects and products in support of Air Force capability. This includes the management of acquisition projects in various phases of the capability life cycle including the AIR5438 Phase 2 Lead-In Fighter Capability Upgrade program. AWSPO, in partnership with industry, also manage three sustainment products: the 127 Hawk Lead-In Fighter, which supports air combat operations through aircraft and off-aircraft systems, delivering aircrew introductory fighter training; Advanced Training and Test Environment (ATTE), which improves Air Force lethality and survivability through the delivery of a threat representative training environment; and the Combat Control Capability Program, which supports combat control operations through the coordination, provisioning and sustainment of combat equipment.
