Bakers Delight Hamilton Hill is seeking an experienced and reliable Qualified Baker to join our busy retail bakery. This role suits a passionate baking professional who takes pride in producing high-quality bread products using traditional baking methods in a fast-paced commercial environment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, production, and baking of a wide range of bread and bakery products while ensuring consistent quality, food safety, and efficient daily production operations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Prepare and bake a wide range of breads and yeast-based bakery products in accordance with established recipes and production schedules.
* Measure, weigh, and mix ingredients to produce doughs and batters.
* Operate commercial bakery equipment including mixers, dividers, moulders, provers, and ovens.
* Knead, portion, mould, and shape dough prior to baking.
* Monitor fermentation and proofing processes to ensure product consistency and quality.
* Control oven temperatures and baking times to achieve required baking results.
* Apply toppings, glazes, and finishes to baked goods as required.
* Maintain product quality, freshness, and presentation standards.
* Assist with stock control, ingredient preparation, and stock rotation.
* Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment in line with food safety standards.
* Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
* Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production targets.
Requirements
* Certificate III in Baking or equivalent qualification, or relevant industry experience.
* Previous experience working in a commercial or retail bakery environment.
* Sound knowledge of bread production techniques and baking processes.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts.
* Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required.
