What we're looking for:
 * Trade-qualified (boilermaker/welder or equivalent experience)
 * Current drivers licence and own transport
 * Current forklift Licence an advantage
 * Computer/Phone skills are an advantage
 * Strong customer service and communication skills
 * Strong fabrication and welding skills (MIG/TIG/Stick)
 * Ability to read and interpret structural steel drawings
 * A great work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship
Key Responsibilities:
 * Develop and implement engineering and fabrication strategies that support both current production needs and MG Fabrication's long-term goals.
 * Mentor and provide training to apprentices and assist tradesmen and workshop staff to perform works in a safe and efficient manner
 * Oversee the quality of all fabrication and welding works, ensuring they meet company standards and client expectations, with issues resolved quickly and effectively.
 * Provide steel sales to customers
 * Communicate with customers and clients to deliver a high level of service.
 * Ordering of materials for upcoming jobs and maintaining stock steel levels
 * Organise deliveries of materials to and from the workshop
 * Champion a strong safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements in a dynamic environment.
 * Support management in creating, updating, and improving department policies and procedures to drive efficiency and consistency.
 * Lead regular team meetings/toolbox talks to keep communication clear, timely, and effective across all levels of the business.
 * Handle minor workplace issues proactively and escalate concerns to management when required.
