We have an opportunity for a Finance Manager role to join our development Finance Team based in the Sydney office on Castlereagh Street.
The Opportunity - About the Role
Partner with our Apartments Development business, primarily focusing on the recently secured Waterloo Renewal Project. Afterward, transition to the Apartments Finance Team, continuing to support the Waterloo Project alongside other apartment projects in Sydney and Victoria. Utilise your property feasibility skills to collaborate closely with project teams, taking ownership of the financial model and scenario analysis to provide business performance insights, drive commercial outcomes, and optimise returns.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project and Stage Feasibilities: Manage day-to-day project and stage feasibilities, including periodic forecasting and scenario analysis.
* Reporting: Prepare internal and external project reports, including financial reports.
* Proactive Engagement: Drive and support proactive engagement with the Business Unit team to identify opportunities.
* Financial Support: Assist with financials for capital requests and growth initiatives.
* Improvement Initiatives: Identify and support improvement initiatives across the Business Unit to enhance efficiency, accuracy, insight, transparency, and timeliness of reporting
About You
This role offers a dynamic and impactful opportunity to leverage your expertise in property feasibility and financial analysis within a supportive and collaborative environment. You will be CA/ CPA qualified with prior experience including:
* Commercial Acumen: Essential for understanding and managing the financial model.
* Identify Opportunities: Work with the Apartments Development team to find opportunities and manage risks.
* Financial Management: Handle financial modelling, planning, budgeting, and reporting.
* Feasibility Reviews: Assess development opportunities and leasing activities.
* Excel Proficiency: Key for scenario modelling and financial analysis.
* Property Background: Experience in apartment or residential built space projects
* Scenario Modelling: Running and managing various financial scenarios.
* Communication: You build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
