About the Role
If you are passionate about enhancing the quality of life for residents in our Residential Aged Care community, and possess the skills and compassion to provide person-centred therapeutic lifestyle interventions, we invite you to apply for the position of Lifestyle Therapist at Clive Burdeu Aged Care.
This role is vital in promoting the overall wellness and fulfillment of residents in our care including:
4. Developing and implementing individualised lifestyle plans based on resident preferences, interests and abilities;
5. Facilitating group activities to enhance social engagement and stimulation;
6. Providing emotional support to residents and their families;
7. Working collaboratively with other members of the care team regularly;
8. Evaluating effectiveness of lifestyle adjustments and making adjustments to individual plans as required.
About You
You are a dynamic and motivated individual who thrives on innovation when it comes to enriching the lives of the elderly. Whether it be a concert at the facility or a day out on the bus, your main goals are to motivate, inspire and involve the residents. You have excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills. You have a fun-loving nature along with compassion and understanding of individual needs.
In order to be successful in this role your knowledge, skills, qualifications should include:
9. Certificate IV in Leisure & Health or a Certificate Level III or IV in any area of dementia, neurological disorder, intellectual impairment, music, arts, massage or other qualification related to diversional therapy;
10. A current National Police Certificate.
