What You Will Do & What You Will Bring
As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will:
* Lead a medium-sized multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver complex mechanical projects on time, on budget, and to client satisfaction.
* Drive the development of robust, high-quality mechanical solutions that meet business, technical, and regulatory requirements.
* Mentor and guide engineers to ensure design quality, manufacturability, and smooth transfer to manufacturing.
* Oversee design-for-manufacture, assembly, and configuration management during transfer-to-manufacture activities.
* Provide cross-project expertise on production-ready design for products in life sciences, diagnostics, industrial, and related sectors.
Qualifications & Experience
In addition, we require the following skills and experience:
* An accredited qualification in Mechanical Engineering (Master's or PhD highly regarded).
* 8+ years of relevant industrial experience in product development.
* Direct experience in cell therapy, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or related regulated environments. OR experience in adjacent industries such as food production or industrial automation with demonstrated adaptability to regulated environments.
* Familiar with working to GMP compliance
* A proven track record in design transfer and manufacturing establishment for medium- to high-volume products.
* Proven leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills, with experience guiding medium-sized teams of 5–10 members.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in distributed teams.
