Our client is established national player who supplies the water treatment / environmental industries. They are looking to secure a tenacious and commercially driven Water Treatment Equipment Sales Consultant based in or around the Northampton area. The successful candidate will ideally come from a strong water chemistry, water equipment or water treatment chemical background and will have a good technical knowledge of industrial water systems; steam boilers, cooling towers, closed systems and an understanding of onsite test kits, water parameters and associated chemical dosing. Would suit a candidate who has previously worked for an industrial water treatment or clean water company. Applications from Wellingborough, Kettering, Towcester, or areas with good access to the South Midlands region will be considered.
Qualifications and Experience
* Background of at least one of the following: water testing, facilities management, process water treatment, leisure sector or chemicals and food beverage production.
* Chemical and Technical experience.
* Experience in a field or internal sales-related position within a B2B environment.
* Experience of working within the water treatment or purification market would be preferred.
* A degree or equivalent qualification in Chemistry or Microbiology would be desirable.
* Good working knowledge of the Health & Safety regulations and the water treatment industry.
* Possess excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
Role
* Researching new potential customers.
* Following company procedures which includes authorization of quotations for goods and services.
* Visiting customers in the sector and introducing them to new products and services as appropriate.
* Providing account and technical knowledge support for colleagues in the sales and customer service teams as required.
* Managing existing customers accounts.
* Requesting training, coaching, and support as necessary to ensure skills and knowledge are maintained.
