Ricks on 6th, a world class bakery in Maroochydore, QLD, is seeking a talented Pastrycook to join our team. As a Pastrycook, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, innovative desserts and baked goods that delight our customers. This is a full-time role.
Candidates must hold permanent residency status in Australia.
What you'll be doing
* Preparing and baking a variety of pastries, pies, cakes, and other desserts according to recipes and business specifications
* Decorating and finishing baked goods with attention to detail and creativity
* Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
* Ensuring efficient and timely production to meet customer demands
What we're looking for
* Formal training in baking or pastry arts, such as a certificate or diploma in Baking or Patisserie
* Certificate III in Baking or equivalent qualification is the minimum requirement
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pastrycook or similar role in a commercial bakery
* Excellent technical skills in pastry preparation, baking
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to work efficiently and maintain high quality standards under pressure
* Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
* Availability for 4 am start time Tuesday to Saturday
