About the role
This is a full-time plumbing site supervisor role based in Hobart, Tasmania. As the Plumbing Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all plumbing work on construction sites for Ahern Plumbing, a leading plumbing firm servicing all parts of Tasmania with the opportunity to do fly in work for 2 - 8 week periods to other parts of Australia and neighbouring countries. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent project management, technical, and leadership skills.
Candidates of any work status will be considered for this position.
What you'll be doing
* Supervise and coordinate a team of plumbers to ensure all plumbing work is completed to a high standard and on schedule
* Liaise with clients, project managers, and other contractors to ensure smooth project delivery
* Inspect plumbing work to identify and resolve any issues
* Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety protocols
* Provide technical guidance and support to the plumbing team
* Maintain detailed records and documentation for all projects
* Assist with the procurement of materials and equipment as needed
* Documentation control for all works outside of the contractual scope
What we're looking for
* Qualified plumber with at least 5 years' experience in a site supervisor role
* Minimum Certificate III in Plumbing is required for this position
* Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, building codes, and safety regulations
* Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
* Strong leadership and communication abilities to effectively manage a team
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Proficient in using plumbing tools and equipment
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
