GIVIT, one of Australia’s most innovative and inspiring not-for-profits, is seeking an energetic leader and confident communicator looking to develop their skills in disaster and donation management. The Queensland State Manager will lead a small team in disaster recovery and community engagement work across the state.

This is a rare opportunity to combine high-level strategy and hands-on service delivery - working alongside government, councils, corporates and frontline organisations to make sure vulnerable Queenslanders receive the support they need when they need it most.

About the Role

As the Queensland Manager you will:

Inspire & lead a small, high-performing team fostering collaboration, development and a culture of continuous learning.

Oversee GIVIT’s day-to-day programs across Queensland – including domestic and family violence, homelessness and First Nations support, ensuring compliance, quality reporting, and delivery in line with established strategies and contracts.

Learn & support disaster recovery efforts across Queensland - representing GIVIT at recovery meetings, supporting frontline partners and delivering real-time reporting, while building your expertise in the space.

Be an engaging and trusted voice for responsible donation management & the circular economy – confidently and passionately representing GIVIT in the media and at conferences and forums.

Grow influence and partnerships – proactively engage stakeholders with enthusiasm, building strong partnerships across government, community corporate sectors.

Improve the way we work - use your eye for detail and process-driven thinking to develop practical policies and tools that help our team work smarter, not harder

What You’ll Bring:

A dynamic and collaborative leadership style able to leverage experience across government, community, or stakeholder engagement to influence, connect, and deliver impact

Relevant tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in disaster recovery, community development, or emergency management preferred.

Excellent communication and the confidence to engage stakeholders with energy, enthusiasm and authenticity.

A growth mindset and willingness to develop your knowledge in disaster recovery and community resilience.

Strong contract or program management skills – including monitoring KPIs & reporting.

Digital savviness and strong CRM and data capabilities.

A valid driver’s license & willingness to travel across Queensland when needed.
