Heavy Vehicle Road Transport Industry Career
The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and constructing complex frameworks which are welded, glued and bolted to the chassis of vehicles. This role involves fabrication, welding, body repairs, maintenance of hydraulic and air suspension/braking systems, installation and repair of electrical systems, operation of load shifting equipment and finishing and painting vehicle body part surfaces.
A key aspect of this position is working with heavy machinery and tools, ensuring all tasks are performed safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, and a passion for the heavy vehicle road transport industry.
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a certificate II in Fabrication, Automotive Manufacturing Technical Operations or Automotive Industry, as well as a driver's license and own vehicle or close to obtaining one. Additionally, experience with automotive manufacturing processes and knowledge of safety protocols would be highly beneficial.
