GMO Operations Manager
for our Joint Gas Support and Test Equipment (JGSTE) Program – a key contributor to the Defence Support Systems (DSS) Product Line.
An exciting opportunity exists for a Gas Management Office (GMO) Operations Manager within our JGSTE Program. This role is responsible for understanding Defence's gas capability requirements and developing strategies in consultation with the Defence customer.
You will work closely with Defence stakeholders to identify and seize opportunities, leveraging existing contract relationships to provide value-for-money solutions, and deliver a range of services through project plans. You will be responsible for ensuring the gas supply and infrastructure support needs of Defence stakeholders are met in a highly agile and evolving support environment.
This role also provides direct support to the GMO Program Manager as a recognised delegate and provides a great opportunity to gain direct exposure into managing a dynamic program; we are seeking someone with the capability and drive to grow into the next high-performing GMO Program Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership and management of all assigned programs/projects.
* Liaison with a wide array of stakeholders from ADF to subcontractors.
* Responsibility and accountability for ensuring that all project goals are achieved, all customer expectations are met or exceeded.
* Responsible for maintaining and improving customer/client satisfaction.
* Leadership and management of a team within the program.
* Coordination of project deliverables as per requirements.
* Satisfaction of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) within the Contract Performance Framework.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
* Tertiary Qualification in Project Management or equivalent experience.
* Demonstrated ability to engage and communicate confidently and effectively at all levels of an organisation.
* Demonstrated understanding of the defence environment (highly desirable) - with a minimum of 5 years' experience within one or more of the asset management, integrated logistics support, engineering, maintenance or supply technical disciplines.
* Experience in solution and proposal development, including the financial and commercial aspects of a proposal.
* Proven high standard of written and verbal communication skills.
* Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security clearance. Eligibility can be found at
