Role Summary
This is a unique opportunity to join our team in a key role where you will be responsible for delivering case management services to eligible young people.
You will work collaboratively within a team environment to deliver evidence-based and culturally appropriate, statutory case management services to vulnerable children in the care of the CEO, in accordance with the Care and Protection of Children and Youth Justice Acts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with relevant government agencies, non-government entities, private sector providers and other work units within Department of Children and Families to provide targeted support to young people who fall within the Crossover cohort.
2. Undertake comprehensive needs assessments to identify case plan objectives and strategies to address safety concerns and criminogenic needs for the Crossover cohort.
3. Prepare relevant documentation such as case reports, court reports and affidavits.
4. Gather and input client information into agency case management systems, ensuring data is timely and accurate to enable informed decision‑making and on‑going assessments and reviews.
Requirements
* A degree from an Australian tertiary institution, which gives eligibility for membership of the Australian Community Workers Association, the Australian Association of Social Workers, or the Australian Psychological Society, or equivalent;
* Demonstrated working knowledge of concepts related to health and well-being that underpin contemporary practice, including the principles and functions of supervision in statutory and non-statutory child protection and youth justice case management;
* Demonstrated developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence decision-making, negotiate solutions to complex issues and provide appropriate, meaningful and accurate information for a wide variety of audiences;
* Ability to quickly acquire and apply an understanding of NT Government priorities and Department of Children and Families strategies, relevant legislation and policies that guide the delivery of child protection and youth justice services;
