An interest in agriculture is helpful, but previous industry experience is not essential.We are looking for someone with a developing financial background who is eager to grow and contribute to our beef production operations.The Management Accountant will play an important role in helping our company make informed financial decisions, optimise cost management and support the performance of our agricultural assets.ResponsibilitiesProviding financial insights into the performance of our farmsEnd to end budgeting and forecastingManagement of the EOM process including balance sheet reconciliationsCalculation and analysis of financial KPIs identifying trends, anomalies and industry benchmarkingCollaborate with senior leadership, analysts and on farm managers to obtain financial data and ensure accuracy in reportingIdentifying system and process improvements within the management accounting functionQualificationsSolid understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis and reportingExperience with inventory accounting would be advantageousInterest in agriculture or agribusiness (previous experience not essential)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong understanding of financial and business acumen in a commercial environmentThis role is based in our inner north Brisbane office with hybrid work from home arrangements.FAMA is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
