The Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team on a full‐time basis. This is a hands‐on role supporting food preparation and cooking across lunch and dinner service. The position is essential to maintaining food quality, consistency, and smooth kitchen operations.
Key Duties Responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking a range of dishes in accordance with menu specifications
- Assisting with food preparation and mise en place for service periods
- Ensuring consistency in portioning, presentation, and food quality
- Operating across different kitchen sections including grill, fryer, and preparation areas
- Monitoring food quality and ensuring dishes meet required standards
- Assisting with stock control, storage, and rotation of ingredients
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of kitchen work areas
- Following food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures
- Supporting chefs and kitchen staff to ensure effective service delivery
- Assisting with receiving and checking deliveries
Essential Skills Experience
- Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
- At least 1–2 years experience in a commercial kitchen environment
- Experience working in a rapid‐paced hospitality setting
- Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
