Trades Assistant – Residential Kalgoorlie Role

GT Boilermaking is a locally owned and operated manufacturing and mine site maintenance company based in Kalgoorlie, WA. We deliver high-quality products and services to the Mining, Exploration and Civil Engineering industries and have built a strong reputation across the Goldfields for reliability, safety and workmanship.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and reliable Trades Assistant to support our skilled trades team.
This is a residential Kalgoorlie-based position. FIFO arrangements will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist tradespeople with hands-on workshop and site-based tasks
* Prepare tools, materials and equipment for upcoming works
* Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
* Support basic equipment maintenance and repair activities
* Follow all company and site safety procedures
* Assist with general labouring and operational duties as required

About You
* Basic understanding of workshop operations and safe work practices
* Strong work ethic with a proactive and reliable attitude
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
* Current C Class Driver's Licence (HR Licence advantageous)
* Forklift Ticket (desirable but not essential)
* Working at Heights and Confined Space (desirable but not essential)
* Basic Rigging experience (advantageous)
* Applicants must have full Australian working rights.
* Previous experience in a workshop, fabrication, or mining environment is advantageous but not essential.

Pre-Employment Requirements
All applicants must be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening, and provide a National Police Clearance and White Card.
White Card must be obtained before commencement of employment.
