About the role
At CSR, we're building solutions for a better future. With a rich history in manufacturing and innovation, we're driving change across Australia and New Zealand through sustainable building products and systems.
We're growing our Interior Systems Engineering team and have created a new Project Engineer role to support capital projects, operational upgrades, and sustainability initiatives across a range of manufacturing facilities across Australia.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager COE, you'll play a key role in delivering step-change improvements across our sites by:
* Managing and executing capital projects safely, on time, and within budget.
* Driving project management governance, contractor management, and compliance with WHSE standards.
* Partnering with site-based engineers and contractors to ensure efficient implementation, commissioning, and handover.
* Supporting efficiency and sustainability projects such as process heat recovery, energy reduction, production line upgrades and optimising that support World Class Manufacturing initiatives.
* Providing leadership and expertise in project management methodologies, change management, and capital program execution to continuously improve our capability to deliver the capital program.
This is a hands-on, national role where you'll be instrumental in delivering projects that directly impact safety, sustainability, and performance.
About You
We're looking for a Project Engineer with strong technical capability and commercial acumen who can influence, mentor, and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You'll bring:
* Engineering degree - Mechanical, Chemical or Mechatronic (or similar considered).
* Extensive experience in industrial/manufacturing settings with significant project/capital works delivery.
* Strong project management skills (PMBoK or similar), including governance and risk management.
* Experience in change management and stakeholder engagement across multiple sites.
* SAP and AutoCAD (3D) knowledge - highly regarded.
* The ability to travel and manage multi-site projects.
