Overview
Social Worker, Obstetrics and Gynaecology – based at Westmead Hospital within Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD).
What you'll be doing
Provide expert social work support for women, children and families while leading projects and mentoring staff.
Work as part of the Women and Children's Health Team, with opportunities to participate in After Hours Crisis On Call and to broaden skills through team coverage.
Contribute to quality improvement, policy and procedure development, training and education, and opportunities to lead and be involved with research.

Deliver high-standard care to families within the Women and Children's health portfolio.
Collaborate in a professional, supportive, high-performing team environment.
Essential criteria
Qualification: Degree in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW).
Selection criteria
Demonstrated clinical experience in pregnancy loss, perinatal bereavement, child protection and domestic and family violence and other specialty areas relating to women's and children's health.
Demonstrated experience in staff and student supervision.
Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures for service improvement and skills in providing training and education.
Well-developed time management skills with excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing and high level computer literacy.
Strong negotiation, decision-making and advocacy skills with the ability to interact constructively with a diverse range of stakeholders at all organisational levels.
Ability to initiate, lead, complete and implement quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes.
Understanding of issues related to working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse client groups.
Participation in the After Hours Crisis On Call Social Work Service.

Remuneration: $56.68 - $58.52 per hour
Hours per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part-time hours)
