About the Role:
The role of Therapeutic Specialist focuses on providing specialist therapeutic support to families and carers, as well as delivering specialized training about trauma and therapeutic care. Key responsibilities include direct therapeutic work with children and young people, providing leadership and secondary consultation, and managing complex practice.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline
* Eligibility for membership of relevant professional association
* Demonstrated ability to provide clinical assessment and treatment
* Leadership and management skills in challenging areas of practice
About You:
We are seeking an individual who has knowledge of trauma, attachment, and neurobiology frameworks and theories. They should have substantial experience working with traumatised children and young people, and be able to demonstrate commitment to collaborative working and negotiation with volunteers and other agencies.
