Primary objective
Lead and contribute to a reporting and analytics team that provides accurate, contemporary and timely information and
reports, including cyclical and ad-hoc business performance and/or corporate reporting to a portfolio of agencies.
Key duties and responsibilities
• Work with internal staff and agency business representatives to deliver reporting and analytics services that achieve
operational, business plan and project outcomes.
* Supervise members of a high performing team to provide quality reporting and analytics services while encouraging
innovation and professional development.
* Develop and maintain productive working relationships with strategic partners and key agency stakeholders
* Implement sound data management strategies to ensure the delivery of high quality, relevant, timely and consistent data,
reporting and analytics.
* Provide advice to management on reporting and analytics practices and outcomes, agency regulatory or strategic
requirements, and reporting cycles.
* Manipulate, analyse and interpret data sets to assist agency corporate or performance measurement and decision-
making.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. A proven track record managing and delivering high volume and complex reporting and analytics services, with a
preference for SAP Business Objects, Microsoft Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services
2. Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and contribute to a team, support a strong culture of teamwork and accountability,
and build individual and organisational capability and responsiveness.
3. Proven interpersonal skills including the demonstrated ability to initiate and forge strong relationships with clients,
stakeholders, professional peers and senior managers and the succinct articulation of key messages to targeted
audiences.
1. Excellent understanding of the principles of, and demonstrated extensive experience in, data analysis, report design,
presentation and effective data visualisation
1. Proven ability to effectively manage projects including: research complex issues, evaluate options, prepare high level
reports, cost out initiatives, achieve outcomes within agreed timeframes and provide appropriate advice to senior
management.
