Barminco is seeking experienced and motivated Maintenance Superintendents to join the Fairfield‐Team at the Bellevue Gold Mine on a full‐time basis (8/6 FIFO roster from Perth). The role supports safe, productive and efficient underground mining operations and contributes to the continued success and expansion of the Bellevue Gold Mine.
Job Overview
As a Maintenance Superintendent you will work within the mobile maintenance department, supervising, overseeing and providing a safe working environment for the on‐site maintenance team. You will ensure that planned maintenance and servicing of site mobile equipment is carried out efficiently and safely, using sound judgement to maximise production capability.
Responsibilities
* Lead and promote a strong safety, quality and performance culture within the maintenance department aligned to Barminco's values and objectives.
* Provide clear leadership, communication and direction to maintenance teams, including Foremen, Planners and Leading Hands.
* Ensure effective incident investigations, safety leadership and preventative actions are implemented to improve site safety performance and culture.
* Monitor equipment and maintenance performance using Barminco & Bellevue systems, implementing corrective action plans where performance targets are not met.
* Act as the site representative for all maintenance‐related matters, including equipment availability, safety, people management and cost control, while escalating issues when required.
* Support continuous improvement of maintenance management systems, reporting processes, forecasting and professional management of maintenance data and documentation.
* Develop and support maintenance personnel through leadership, career development and collaboration with other Maintenance Superintendents and central support teams to improve safety, efficiency, quality and cost outcomes.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience as a Maintenance Superintendent within an underground mining environment, including earthmoving machinery such as Sandvik.
* Strong credibility in working with and influencing a frontline operational workforce.
* Strong understanding of a safety culture and leadership concepts, with practical application of risk assessment, hazard identification, controls and incident management and investigation.
* Australian recognised Heavy‐Duty Mechanical or Auto Electrical trade certificate.
* Ability to work effectively within a team and follow mine plans and procedures.
* Current and valid Australian driver's licence.
