What We Are Looking For
We’re looking for someone with extensive experience in the building industry to join our team as a Facilities Officer. You’ll be responsible for coordinating and supervising the facilities maintenance and minor capital works requirements for Council buildings and Facilities. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a number of exciting (properties, projects and gain satisfaction from seeing positive outcomes in our built environment.
What Your Day Will Look Like
Preparing Asset Condition and Building Inspection Reports for buildings
Preparing scope of works
Completing detailed inspections
Preparing and implementing annual maintenance schedules
Supervising contractors, tradespersons and other service providers
Preparing Quotation and Tender documents

What You’ll Need For Success
You will have a number of years experience in the building industry with exposure to project and facilities management. You’ll be happy working in a role that will see you office bound at times, then out on sites involved at others. This role will require you to be on site and at times, some heavy lifting, so a degree of physical fitness it required.

Strong legislative knowledge across building, plumbing, electrical
