Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) is seeking a General Medical Physician to join our dedicated and supportive team in a role that offers both professional fulfilment and the opportunity to provide high-impact care in a regional healthcare setting.
This is a unique opportunity for a physician committed to clinical excellence, medical education, and the delivery of comprehensive internal medicine services in a resourceful and team-oriented environment.
The Position: Ongoing, Full-Time, 76.0 hours per fortnight
In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care to general and high-dependency inpatients and outpatients at BRHS.
You will be part of a small but highly skilled team of General Physicians, working closely with junior medical officers and Visiting Medical Officers to deliver safe and effective care.
A supportive and collaborative relationship exists with local General Practitioner VMOs with admission rights to BRHS, providing acute inpatient care as well as Anaesthetic & Obstetric services.
What you need:
* Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (or equivalent)
* Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent
* Registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Broad general medical experience, including in the care of critically ill patients.
* Experience or an interest in rural health and the social determinants of health.
* Experience or an interest in medical education and continuous improvement
